Thanks, I am a real newb when it comes to this so I dont know if I access the files using my computer would let me use the HD in my Xbox just like my HD in my PC. Lets say I have a Divx movie on my Xbox, if I click on it, would I be able to watch it instantly?

If you want somewhere to store media files for use on a PC can I suggest a much better place. Your PC.
I really see no value in using the xbox as a mechanism for storing files you want to use on a PC. What is the point?
If you wanted to have a device that could play music/video/games without a PC, sure good idea.
Using a large PC located drive for use on the xbox would be a useful thing to do, but the other way round?

The answer is yes, The tutorial I pointed you at allows an xbox drive to be treated as a network drive.
The title of the tutorial is "How to make a XBOX partitioned Drive a MAP Network Drive Accessible in Windows Explorer".

The original question is still valid. Why?

For 20 gigs? This is nuts.

Even if you've put in a 120 gig drive, if you want to use the Xbox for storage, why? There are better ways to get more storage.

What you put in the Xbox will QUICKLY fill I guarantee you!!!!

I'm not trying to store every single file in my xbox... In which partion should I store files, so it wont interfer with my Xbox (Not messing it up).

The reasons that this is a bad idea just keep on coming. Let me try and give you a quick rundown.
- your drive will only be accessible over a network connection, it'll be MUCH quicker directly on a PC.
- The overhead of having it in an xbox means you will lose space to system files.
- You have to have 2 systems running to get at the data on the xbox
- You won't be able to play games on the xbox and access the files from a PC at the same time. So no listening to those MP3s while playing games.
- So far the code written by hackers for the xbox, whilst functional, is far from production quality. The FTP server doesn't appear to be threadsafe, for example. Try and get 2 files at once, the xbox can crash.
- You don't even know where to put the files so I think the chances of you getting this to work are pretty slim anyway.

Sheesh, i'm bored with reasons now.

I'm not going to access anything on my Xbox while im while playing games or anything else. I just want to put some files there and leave it until I either transfer it back to my PC and burn it or just delete it for some odd reason. Hmmm, could I burn file that are on my Xbox HD!?

I'm guessing I will store what ever crap I have in my E drive.

Hehehe, I have done what you mensioned, but only on one of my friend's boxes. Its in his van as a porta game station. Its really cool. We have it you can just plug in a little Wi-Fi card to get some nice movies and games right to the PC.

                                    Not E:\ rather F:\

E: is used as working space too.
