My PC is installed with Win XP Pro and i am using Flash FXP 1.43 to try and connect. I have followed all the instructions i have found on the forum and have a problem.
I have booted the Xbox off a CD-RW with the latest EvoX software on and it boots successfully. I have checked the network settings and they are:
IP: 192.168.0.3
Netmask : 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
Static IP: No
FTP enabled: Yes
FTP password: xbox
Everything else is as it should be.
I have set my NIC IP address to be 192.168.0.1 and the netmask to be 255.255.255.0 on my PC
I have connected a crossover network cable to the Xbox and the PC and there is a link light both ends. As my PC is upstairs and the Xbox/TV downstairs, i have just plugged the Xbox into the mains and the network cable upstairs, and it has no controllers or TV connected.
When i try and connect with my pc (user xbox and password xbox and host 192.168.0.3) it fails. If i run a ping from Windows it also fails.
Could it be because I have no TV/controllers connected ? As I am booting off the CD-RW i am using the default settings from EvoX.
Help !!!!
