Stuck: Need Executer Help
« on: September 15, 2002, 12:46:00 AM »

I installed my E-xecuter chip and everything is fine there(solid green light).

I've tried to burn EvolutionX V1.8.458.iso to a Princo DVD-R and Maxcell CD-RW and I cant get either to boot in the Xbox, says unrecognizable.

My DVD burner is the standard Pioneer DVR-140 and I burned the DVD with Record Now 1.4.

Any suggestions on what to try next???

also I burn the iso image right?..I saw someone saying something bout extracting the default.xbe with xiso and burning that.

thanks,

yea I know you've answered it on other forums but I've been looking havent found the answer that works. I burned some music on my maxell cdrw and it reads that, but still wont read the burned default.xbe, used record now udf 128 bridged 8+3....

what next .. my GF already got pissed and went to bed so if im still at this tomorrow, I probably wont get any, what to try next?

Also as long as I get the solid green light the chip is ok correct?

I had the same problem.  I installed a computer DVD Drive which read the CDRW easily.  Not sure about the Primo obtion because I never tried it.

1) Use RecordNow Max in data mode.
2) Put the burned DVD/CD-RW in your PC and make SURE the default.xbe shows up in the root directory.
3) If you are using the files from the ISO, make sure the ini files point to the right place.
4) The solid green light does NOT necessarily mean your mod is ok.
You may in fact be using the original bios, which may be why you have a problem.
5) Your default.xbe itself could be corrupt.

Until you boot up ANY unsigned code, or verified that Macrovision is off, you will not know that your mod chip is working.
