Simple:

Go into the options of FlashFXP and turn of Directory Caching.  You're still seeing the files from the disc you booted the xbox with.  Once directory caching is disabled, it will send a request for the files in the directory instead of reading what it has cached locally.

I think Demon is right.

Put in the game CD.

Under <Directory> in Flash, choose flush directory cache.

Then hit the "Refresh" button in the toolbar in flash.

                                    O.K.
but I changed the CDRW and put a GAME DVD in it.
I used 'flush directory cache'
swiched off 'cache directories'
and I still see 'BOIS' and 'DEFAULT.XBE'

Is there something else I forgot to do ?

Now hit refresh.

Or disconnect, and reconnect.

Try putting in another DVD and see what you see.

Put the evoX dashboard on your xbox. Then load it off the HDD instead.

I dealt with the same issue.  Loading the evo-x Dashboard was what finally resolved it.

You already have the dashboard...what do you think is on that cdrw?  Anyway, follow instructions that are readily available all over this message board on how to put it on your HD (back up your C partition locally first).  Once you're running evoX from the hd instead of a disc, you should stop getting that no-refresh error.  I had the exact same problem with flashFXP, and putting evoX on the hd fixed it for me.

You don't have directory caching disabled if it reports the same files in the drive when you switch the disk.  Double check and make sure that you have disabled directory caching.

Start EvoX however you do it (CD or HD), then insert the game disk you want.  Connect to your Xbox with ftp.  Get to the screen that shows the directories /c/, /d/, etc.  Right click on /d/ and choose refresh.  Did you see it reload?  You should see it "flicker".  Go into the /d/ directory; did it change?

If it didn't, right click on the blank white area in the windows that shows the filenames that are on the /d/ drive.  Again, choose refresh from the menu.  It will change if it's using the cached data.

If it doesn't, that means that those are the files on that disc.  You won't have to worry about this if you diable directory caching in FlashFXP.

Now I start evolution X from the HD. This works O.K.
Thanks to everybody who tried to help me.
