With my Xbox connected to the same linksys switch as my computer, I get about 14 Mbits/sec (using FlashFXP), which is pathetically slow for a 100 Mbit/sec full duplex connection.
Oddly enough, if I use webdrive, my downloads to the Xbox jump up to around 30 Mbits/sec...still slow, but acceptable. However, webdrive seems to copy the files to a temporary location before sending them to the Xbox, which slows things down quite a bit, and it also comes back quite frequently with 'Unable to locate file' errors. That's not the exact wording, but it's something along those lines. So webdrive is not a good alternative to FlashFXP.
Cute FTP crashes my Xbox immedatly upon connection, and I haven't had time to test other FTP programs.
Any thoughts on why some FTP programs work better than others, and maybe which FTP programs are the fastest?
