Using Evox To Upload Music To Hdd
« on: August 18, 2002, 09:03:00 PM »

The folder you seek is "e:\TDATA\fffe0000\music\".  The problem is that it uses a database to read the files inside.  So #1 you have to first you have to have at least one cd ripped from the dash.  Then you go to the dash and make copies of the files you allready ripped.  What that does is put more files in the database.  When made enough copies of the tracks from the first cd say 600 tracks or how many wma you plan to import.  The go to
"e:\TDATA\fffe0000\music\" and check out the dummy files (*.wma) that we made so that the database will reconize the files we plan to replace them with.  Now all you have to do is rename your wma files to match the dummy files (*.wma).  Now use ftp and replace the dummy files with your real music files.  Now your done!

If you got some extra time go to the dash and rename each track with the full names!

I did this for about 80 songs before Media Player 5 Beta came out.  I know that it works!
