trust cadman, you need to use the correct syntex

if you are only using .../6 rather then .../partition6 you will get this problem.

is the internal bios flashed to evo 2.2?   cause if not     you can't get any extra space on F:      even the homebrews with evo2.2  give some people problems

if you haven't flashed your bios   then don't even bother with the hd upgrade

Yes hd with homebrew evo 2.2 done 6 of them for family (2 in each house), no problems at all.

are you sure you got the evo-x 2.2 from a good source, maybe someone just relabeled a different bios.

I always have used maxtor 120Gb 5400 rpm drives if that make a difference (the reason being they come zero'd out)

I also used 27c040 chips, I did have a little problem with 27c4000 chips not working

and what ever you do you never want to flash the internal bios that is dumb.  The only ones doing it are people who got screwed by buying a early mod that was not upgradable like they were told it would be.

Hey bennoo i just had i tought! bring your wd 120gig hard drive over and i will try to format your f: partition on my xbox.

Bennoo got his modchip from me and yes i did flash it with evox 2.2 but i think there may be a problem with wd hard drives as i have a maxtor 80gig and i have read posts of guys with maxtor 120gig's working ok.
