When you send the first format sequence you will get a 'key' in return.  So all you have to do after that is send a second sequence but instead of 'partition0' you put in your 'key' that the xbox gave you.

You did make sure the drive was zeroed, right?

If you follow the directions carefully, and did all the prep work (the drive prep utility is a godsend here), you should not have this problem.

Start from the beginning and have PATIENCE...
