Can WinRAR extract the EvoX file?

I just read the new tutorial and it said that WinRAR could not extract a ISO but I was not sure if that means that I need to use Xiso on EvoX.  This would explain why I can not get EvoX to run (I have done the chip Mod).  I will test this as soon as I get home, but this is great news if this is the case.

Thank you so much!

which version of evo x are u talkin about 2.2 or 2.3 ??

EvoX 1.8!!

I have did the pot mod (laser mod) & a switchable chip install from Premodded.com.

The only thing that is different is that i can not play burned music CD's, adn yes i have tried several media types (CD-RW).

Thank you for your help in advance!!

I starting to get mad with this thing!

WinRAR will not extract xbox games that are .iso files. Even though WinRAR associates itself with iso files when you load it, you won't be able to open them using it. Isobuster won't work either...you've got to have a special tool. xISO should work fine, but I've never tried it. I always use xboxisotool v1.73 or something like that, and it's never screwed up once.

Thank you so much guys!  I can’t wait to get home any try it, I have been working on this thing almost every day for two weeks.  I used WinRAR to extract the EvoX 1.8 software and was trying to burn it to a disk.  I was able to do all of that with out any errors but it would not run on my Xbox.

I hope that this was my problem!!!!!!!

If not I going to go postal and take my whole family out with a large knife in some kind of dark xbox rage!

After reading over my post, I realized that I wasn't quite clear. When I said WinRAR won't extract the .iso files, I mean that WinRAR won't take any of the files out of the iso. It will extract the .iso file out of the .rar file fine, and then you can burn the .iso file onto a cd with nero or primodvd or whatever you want. I'm not sure whether you're having problems getting that file to boot, or if you're trying to break that file up.
If you're trying to break the file up, use xISO or xboxisotool like I mentioned in my previous post.
However, if you're just trying to burn the .iso file to a cd and that's not booting, then you probably need to try different media. The file is really small, and the xbox dvd drive is really picky, so it's gonna be hard for the xbox to read the disc when you put it in.
Sorry I was unclear before. I just assumed you were trying to break apart the iso file. Forgive me if you were just trying to burn the file and it wasn't working, because then my previous message won't even apply to that.
Lots of people have trouble getting EvoX to run, and go through quite a few different types of media to get it working.
