boot off the evo-x cd, and you may need to insert a menu.ini on that cd, otherwise it will load yours off the hdd and continue to loop.

If you put a PROPER menu.ini file (like the one that comes int he evo-x iso zip file) on the CD-RW with Evo-X, it will use that one first.

Sounds like it just isn't reading the CD-RW properly. Try burning it to DVD-RW, as well.

If it can't read the boot disc for whatever reason, it obviously will load the dash off of the HD, resulting in the same problem.

Trust me, theEVo-X+menu.ini boot CD-RW will work FINE once you get a GOOD burn to load.

I'm having the same problem, but I can't get the EVO CD to boot, or any game at that. It just show the Xbox Logo, then Says MS at the bottom, then reboots and does the same thing over and over again.  The tray doesn't come out all the way when I hit eject, b/c it reboots to quickly.  I have to turn off the power, then hit eject to get the disc out. Please tell me there's hope.
