PS also he tried to boot evox from a cdrw and it didn't work and this is the cd he originally used to load evox.

get him to boot from a cdrw with evox and a menu.ini file, and see if that helps

he got it!  thanks.  He had an evox disk that he made to reload evox and the msdash when he did evox by itself bingo!
