Physical On/off Switch For An X3
« on: December 28, 2004, 11:47:00 AM »

Yeah yeah... I'm picky.  Anyway, I'm working on a switch mod that will make my box either boot with the modchip and upgraded HDD or boot with the original HD and the chip powered off, or at least not letting the chip be functional.

Here's my question, Since I'd have to rewire the LPC pins if I had to actually do the power, can I just put the switch on the d0?  Without the d0 the box should just boot the onboard bios right?

And if the d0 works this mod should "technically" work for all the other modchips also?

Is this a bad question or do people just not know?

Awesome, finally thank you.  I just needed one more opinion to confirm my idea before I go cutting shit again. :)
