Hi there,

think this is my first topic here around, I gotta say I'm thankful Xbox-scene exists, so I could learn whatever possible to "rox my box"... eheh.

By the way, here's the problem:

Rocked my box (v1.4) with x3, flashed with 1959(?) (latest one anyway for x3), changed the HDD, put on a 160, made only F: no G: thanks to X3 Config live.

Started fillin it up till the end, couldn't be happier...

Then two my friends wanted to have the same set-up,  so i ordered two 2.6 for them (Cheaper, they didn't need the x3 I thought).

They've got a 1.6, so i flashed their 2.6s with the following 1MB bios.bin file:

   flashbios 3.0.1 - flashbios 3.0.1 - m8+ - m8+

so that  on bank 1-2 we've got the fb utility, and on 3-4 the m8+.  This is due to the 2.6 banks bug, afaik.

Then i cloned with ghost with the /ir flag for raw copy mode my hdd to two brand new 8mb cache maxtor hdds.

Since i've didn't change the boot order in m8+ with evtool (but i DID check that the option "partition 6 gets all, no 7" was set up) when u boot up the 2.6 modded xbox you get evoxdash fully working, the only problem is when you get to the f: partition...  Nothing in it! even loading XBMC doesn't show up anything...

When you go in XBMC -> settings -> system info, you see that F: is 1280 MB only!!!

BUT right now i made a test: on my x3 xbox i put on bank 5 the m8+ too (same lba48 options as in those with 2.6), and...  EVEN IN MY XBOX F: CONTAINS NOTHING! crap... Everything loads fine (evox,xbmc,xboxdash,apps on e, etc etc etc...) Hope this info will be of any help...

I DO need help real bad, plz guys help this poor Italian boy rock these brand new boxes...

Got some updates...

Was just wandering around the various forums and faqs for doublecheck, and i found out that many tutorials about cloning/copying xbox hdds tell me to format then just partition 6... What in the world is the motivation behind this??? Shouldn't it work without formatting part 6 and refilling it if i CLONE this disk, assuming the 2 boxes have got both a LBA48 bios with the option "part 6 gets all, no part 7"

SOLVED.


Don't know why, but enabling the option in evtool "ignore partition table" everything went fine.
