Instead of having a chip in it, you might have got an xbox with a flashed bios.
If you're having problems, go to reboot on the evolutionX screen and try that, if not switch the machine off with the disc in the drive and then power on.

Most times a game fails to load when Evolution X is on the system, it is because the evox program loads before the machine has had chance to recognize the disc. copied discs take longer to recognize than normal originals.

I've tried rebooting via the evox startup screen... that didn't work. Then I tried switching the power off and on via the button on my xbox with an original game in the drive and the xbox wouldn't even boot that! It always boots to the evolution x startup screen.

dude... I was just thinking the same... my brother got to the xbox dashboard once... I can't get to it again! Do you know exactly how to get to the xbox dashboard?
