-- Well at this time you cannot do it from a cd unless you burn the Xbox Media Player on the cd with the DivX / Mpeg / etc. file .
-- If you have the media player on the Xbox Hard Drive then you can transfer files to the root / Media / Video folder and then bring up Media Player from the Evo-X menu [ if you have added it in the menu.ini ] and play it from there .

I have it setup, but you need to grab the movies off another machine through your internal network. It has worked great for me with DIVX and MPG. I also change the menu.ini file to include mame and the n64 emulator (sound doesn't work). I, m sure someone will figure out how to have the xbox look to it's own cd drive eventually.
