Are you just looking for more space? You still should only need 1 harddrive, I mean you can buy a terabyte for pretty cheap now. I thought about using two drives before so I could use one for xbox live with no modifications when my chip was off, and the other one when my chip was on. I think this is possible you just have to have one resting outside your box and have a switch to switch between the two.

You can use as many hard drives as you want but you can only use 1 at a time. I had a xbox with 4 hdds in it once. 3 750gb drives and 1 stock. You will need an ide cable with as many connectors as you have hard drives and a switch to switch power from drive to drive. Search google for the xtender case mod and it comes with everything you need to add more hard drives. It comes with ide cable switches for the hard drive and makes your case just a little bit taller.

Well the 2nd harddrive would have to replace the dvd drive since the ide channels can only support 2 devices. Would be sweet to have a pair of 120 GB drives in the box though.
