What did u burn evoX on: DVD or CD

I downloaded evoX from a newsgroup post, maybe it's a bad copy?  Can someone send me a link of where to get it?

You can't just burn the iso and boot it, you have to add a menu.ini file to the root of the disc. If you do that it will be fine... Took me a while to figure out too...  

Personally I ripped out the default.xbe with Xiso and added that and menu.ini to a data-disc PrassiDVD, but i think some programs lets you inject the ini-file directly in the .iso.

(Actually it seems pretty senseless to distribute the iso without an "empty" ini-file already in the root. I think most people would expect an iso file to boot without modifications, and it's much more of a hazzle to fix than if they'd just released the xbe-file)

It's a beta version. Probably in the final release they will of fixed that.

Burned one DVD-RW with Primo and one CD-RW with Nero.  Both worked flawlessly.

i could only get dvd-rw to boot. cd-rw wasnt working for some reason....seems weird because i have some dvd-rips and they all boot fine with the same brand cd-rw. hell even the cheapest cd-rs work fine.

Note that I added a lot of dummy files to the ISO. It seems to me that the DVD drive boots my CD-RW better if the disk is filled with files ?

not had time to try the above yet but does this disc work with the Enigmah BETA?
Also a lot of people are saying they boot the disc with no problems but dont say if they edited the iso or not?
i burned the iso to a dvdr and a cdrw and the xbox says it does not recognise the disc.
So is everybody adding the menu.ini to the iso or are people just burning the iso straight from the .rar
