Your off base a bit. The SN# of the HD is tied to the bios of the xbox.  So no it would not work sorry.

I agree with you, but... using the EvoX, is it not possible to install a larger hard drive in an Xbox?

Yep, but you need to have a homebrew chip flashed with the evo bios for that to work.
