Brywalker you want to elaborate on your method?  Please share with the group.  How exactly did you do your burn with the ISO tool or UDF?

I have a new problem.  I finally got the World Series Baseball to boot by hex editing a line in the default.xbe, but when I try to go to the start screen, it kicks me back to the dashboard.

Any ideas?

I just did UDF. It loads fine, audio doesn't sync well with the in game cinemas. Compiled an iso and trying that now to see if it fixes it. It's the same thing that happens with Wreckless.

Probably not though. The big problem is that we don't know what order the games are supposed to be arranged on the disc for best performance. We are just ripping and burning in alpha order. Oh well, not much we can do unless someone releases the way to take straight isos.

Same here brywalker. Just got through testing out a Hunter copy and worked fine. I've been using PrimoDVD and the UDF burn on Princo DVD-RWs. I've had random problems using the ISO tools but the UDF burn has always seemed to work. No patches on any of the two I've made since last night and they work fine. Finishing up a burn of Halo currently to try as well.

Actually.....

I made an iso with an iso builder. Not any of the homebrew ones. Anyway, loads fast, audio is perfect. Unreal.

So I guess building the iso with the CORRECT program is the way to go.

it packs iso's faster then the homebrewn one's too, well sort of...

Justin,

Hi. I wanted to tell you that I was having the same problem backing up my original Knockout Kings 2002 game. When I booted the Memorex dvd-rw (created w\ Primo or Recordnow) using an iso image (created w\ XiSO, XDK, or Isomaker), it would just boot to the EvoX menu screen. Also, I had tried patching the default.xbe using XiSO. However, that did not work either. I retraced my steps and searched some more. I realized there was a download that I had not tried and had overlooked. I d\l'd the xboxcrk.exe file. This file was never specifically mentioned in the walkthrough that I read.  However, after running it on the xbe file, I created and burned the backup ISO on a Memorex dvd-rw and removed the EvoX dashboard. My backup now boots & plays flawlessly. I will try this with the other games that I have bought so far. Hope this helps. Later.
