If you're plugging your Xbox straight into the PC's ethernet card, you'll need a crossover ethernet cable.... otherwise, if you're plugging the Xbox into a hub or router that your PC is also plugged into, then you can just use a regular ethernet cable.

If anyone's interested, you can make your own crossover by cutting an ethernet cable and reconnecting the wires as follows:

1 (WHT/ORG) --> 3 (WHT/GRN)
2 (ORG) --> 6 (GRN)
3 (WHT/GRN) --> 1 (WHT/ORG)
6 (GRN) --> 2 (ORG)

The rest of the wires aren't used, but you can reconnect them to their mating color.
