Rogue I know U don't recognize my username but a buddy of mine bought one of your probes so I could do his new XBox. Well I got the probe and I am attempting to extract the key. it is giving me a key but I am getting a serial data error. So I am looking at the advanced enter serial popup. I am pretty sure it's reading the drive because the Serial # on that page matches the one on top of the drive. The HW Version is filled in as A0A1 in the popup. However it is labeled ontop of the drive as A0A2. The PCB and the Laser's info isn't on there. So I got the numbers off of the drive. My concern is this. I don't have a spare drive to spoof to test the key first. I am wondering, is this cable possibly faulty and if not would it reporting a different HW v as it's actually labeled another cause problems? Does determinging the key have anything to do with these combo of numbers? Or are they useless identifiers? I have tried a different com port for the cable and a different SATA input for the drive it'self and have gotten the exact same error and #'s?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
