Agreed. Even if you are flashing a Samsung, Hitachi or Benq, the Xtractor has it's place. While the huge benefit is the serial transfer for extracting keys from the Lite-on, it is still very handy as a power source to those other drives and executing the VCC trick to get them into vendor mode or Mode B so that you can read/flash their firmwares.
I have yet to do a lite-on with the kit as I just got it a few days ago and haven't received a lite-on yet, but it has been a big help in doing everyone of the others just as a power source and easy on/off switch.
I also strongly advise using a VIA add in card with only the PortIO drivers installed. I have flashed all of the drives above using just Jungleflasher and it works flawlessly. No need for Slax to get in modeB, no need for other utils to flash the drive, it can all be done from one great windows application.
I guess this is yet another bump for a great seller.
