Damn dude, you got a SERIOUS amount of stuff going on there... thats freaking awesome lol... Also chimp what do dvd drive keys to the motherboards do? Is that so you can fix a banned console? Does it make it like new or will you just get banned again because M$ can tell you replaced the keys. Sorry KrInEn i guess you can consider this a bump.

The dvd key connect a certain dvd drive to a certain mobo, so you cant just pull and dvd drive and replace it. You have to flash the correct drive key for it to work properly..

Yes i know that... you gotta flash it and all that good yummy stuff. But if your console was banned would the new keys fix it?

Nope.  Each dvd drive is tied to a certain console.  Unlike the original Xbox, if I want to swap the dvd drive, I need to go through the process of flashing the drive.  If you were to put a dvd drive from one 360 into another by just swapping them, it wouldn't play games.  However, if you flash the correct key from one drive to the new drive, and then pop the drive into the 360, it will work.

So far, you can't get banned for this, and I don't think anyone will ever get banned for this.  This doesn't fix a banned console, however.  This only lets the 360 know that it is the correct dvd drive.


Still want to know if you have the keys for them smile.gif  Also, if you still have the black top with the two holes cut in it, $10 shipped?

I dont have the drive keys anymore sad.gif some of the boards have had item ripped off for other repairs. Most are only good for repairing other boards
