Old Receivers

this may or may not be xbox related.  I have two old yamaha receivers (RX-385, & CD-28)  I dont think I can get mutch for any of these recivers.  I am wondering how mutch any one would be willing to pay for one of the extra recievers, and also if there is any thing cool I could do with extra recievers, like adding moor wats or something to a moor up to date reciever or posiblly using some parts for pimping my box.

well

Ebay

has an rx385

the cd-28 sounds suspiciously like an old marantz cd player though

bugger all you can do with them unless you have a basic knowledge of electronics......replacing the PSU sections and filter components for example,
sticking low ESR caps in place of the crappy ones,
upgrading from polyester to mylar film caps, even using wirewound resistors instead of carbon film...........

if you're so inclined, you can tear the guts out, scrap the faceplate and build your xbox into the cd player and have a full component width media player. I've seen this in another thread (they scrapped a dvd player but it's the same idea). If you dont want to bother with all that, you might as well take $20 for it at the garage sale.
