Voltmeter Question, And 1.5k Pot Question
« on: March 15, 2004, 03:31:00 PM »

i want to find one or two cheap voltmeters.  I built a power supply for one of my labs and i don't like how it has the set values +5, +12, and -12 volts so i'm changing the + and - 12v to be alternating.  this will cause problems cause then i wont be able to tell what the voltages are.  I want two (or one and i'll just have a switch) cheap voltmeter, don't really care if it's ana or dig.  I also cannot locate a 1.5k potentiometer... cna you help me find that i'vve searched a few places that people have given me on here but with no luck
thanks

If you live in SE MI, then I would check out the Electronic Connection on Ford and Newburgh, Burnie is a great guy.

What you can do, if you have time, is email a prof (In electronics or electrical engeering) at a local college and ask him where to find a local electronic store, or where he gets his supplies.  Who know, they may even be willing to sell you some of their stock at a reasonable price if they have it and the college will let them.

What you should do is talk to a instructor who has some pull in the department, and likes you as a person.  You can also talk to your Technology Buyer (what it is called at my community college), the person who buys their products.
