it can still be fixed... you just have to use a 30 gauge wire and fix the briged on it... not hard to do if you have common sense and have a good solder hand. do not try if you dont have either.  <

Consider get a trace repair kit if you can't bridge the points with to 30ga.  Basically its just conductive paint.

This si ebtter served in the General Hardware forums though, not TSOP.

Ok Thanks man.......So I could just trace the D0 form the F#$%^& point untill where it ends up and just make a new trace?

Only question is tho....Looks like the whole from top to bottom of the D0 is gone....I dont see any metal at all.....  <

if you think you can handle soldering a 30 gauge wire to the tsop, the d0 leads to it, i forget what pin number it is, but looking from the front of the xbox at the tsop chip ( right next to lpc holes) the pins farthest away from you 5th from the right should be d0  <

for some example problems on the issue of trace repair you can check out the repairs section on my website, I've got a couple of samples there.  Lugnut, I'd be especially interested in your opinion of the extreme damage one.  It now boots off the LPC but gives an error7 with the stock hdd and error 9 with a known good 60 gig drive.
