When in ghost with the ghost.exe /ir ..... could I also say Disk -> to Image ... and will it work?

Yes, you could make an image, it would work. You could then write it some other time. Would make a good backup for your drive if you ever nuke it somehow

I've been trying to figure out how to prep my new 60 Gig (an old pull from a PC), for my unmodded XBOX. I have HDD_Driver, but cannot get it to run per most of the tutorials I've read. I get "This application has failed to start because MFC42D.DLL was not found..." I have found no reference to this error message in the pinned postings or in any tutorial. Yes, I've tried to satisfy the error messages by providing the missing DLL's to no avail. There seems to be something else wrong.

I presume that using Ghost obviates the need for HDD_Driver, but I don't have Ghost.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

need help with this hdd mod, computer doesn't recognize old xbox drive, try to use the ghost.exe and it says that there is only one drive and that I can't clone locally. Any help? orignal question here, http://forums.xbox-s...opic=284637&hl= your help is greatly appriciated. Thanks.

Good tutorial... Although some steps were not mentioned... I managed to follow it correctly and got it to work.

If ghost can only find one hard drive go to your BIOS (press F2 upon startup) and activate the other drive.

It says harddrive failure though, the old xbox harddrive shows up in the unlock and dissable programs but not ghost, I don't understand it...

I'm also having problems getting ghost to recognize a source drive. Plus I can't get the HDD Driver program to work because I also get the MFC42D.DLL error. So I'm kind of dead in the water here until I can figure something out, please help!

My box version is a 1.6 if that has anything to do with it.
