Need Help With Ms Dashboard

when I installed my new harddrive in my xbox, the MS Dashboard was no where to find. I have a DUOX2 chip,  and the chip has two bios banks, onw with executer2 and one with ms Dashboard, but not anymore :/   My xbox is a 1.0 version. When I push the open button, my xbox should start with MS dashboard, but the text that comes up is something about a generic problem, number "05"
