I'd like to weigh-in again here. I see a lot of the same guys in the 360 B/S/T trading...like omega2468 and celticsfan. All my experiences have been positive...but I am a cautious trader. A carless person will get taken at some point. There will be a certain group who will consistantly be trading (probably myself included). So there will be some comfort level and really solid referrences for a growing number of traders.
Let's say a newbie comes in and wants to trade, with no referrences. He contacts me for a trade, and I'm interested. All I do is tell him to PM my refs, and if he's still interested, he ships first.
Personal contact info-including real name, email, home address, and home phone-should always be available for both parties.

Lastly, like twistedsymphony noted, it is sometimes hard to find game trades in the B/S/T. One has to sift through a few pages. I like HSD's idea of only trading games in there. If one has hardware, just list it in the B/S/T. The one problem I guess would be moderation. I don't know what kind of work it would take to keep the non-game trades out of there, since the pinned topics are frequently ignored. It might not be a problem, though...I don't know.

I'd still love to see a dedicated 360 game trade forum

It's a great idea, I agree it's hard to find specific games in bst. Lowest # of refs ships first.

B/S/T is already "buyer beware." Why would it be any different with a new game trading forum?
I think it's a great idea since we've all gotten tired of certain games after beating them over & over again.

It'd be nice to have a forum where people can trade games (and it'd only cost us a few $$ for shipping).

Good idea, should be Paypal only since they have a bit of protection against scammers.. might take 3 months for you to get your money back if someone scams you, but atleast u get it back (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Its a great idea that is lived out on several other great sites dedicated to trading games.

My favorite is trade games now

they have a great system to prevent scams and users are given feedback ect. anyway, i think a Trade only forum is a good idea, but i think using a site dedicated to trading games is better...

I reckon this is a great idea. It would work well.

As for who ships first, could od both at the same time. It may be an idea to somehow base it on a post count, as some1 with a high post count (ie, mine, though its not huge) wouldn't want their name disgraced.

The 2 parties could just work it out, maybe phone each other or something.

I give the idea a 5/5, bring it in. If its a failure, then it can be removed later.

I think it would work well, as long as cross shipping would be used for all the trades unless the traders ageed that one of them ship first, ive seen alot of times where one person ships first and then the other "trader" doesnt send the other game and theres not much you can do about it because theres no third party involved like paypal to get your money back or in this case, your game.

There's risk involved in about any transaction. Hell you could do a cross trade and the person could send you a damaged item or an empty box you never know with people these days. The way things usually work new members like your self would send first. This is to help establish trust on the site and gain refrences. Usually if you do business with someone that has been around here for awhile and has done lots of business on the site you are safe. You may wonder why people are always trying to get a new member to send first. It's for the fact that sometimes a person will only sign up here with the intent of scamming. Also sometimes users will make multiple accounts and make fake refs with those and use one to say the other is good or they might of been banned from the site previously and they make a new account to scam again. Like I said before though anything can happen and there will always be a risk, I dont really understand how you have seen alot of times when people get ripped off, cuz you just joined and you said something about you sent first on ebay, which was not needed. Any transaction on ebay, I have always got paid first. You might say paypal is a safe way to pay, but you can get screwed by them also, only paypal really protects you on Ebay. i would love to see this happen. i think it would work really well once there is a solid user base of "trusted" traders.

This would be a great idea.. we cud have a north america and european room.. and just post where you are in your thread so people know for sure..

I wud love this as i have already outplayed a couple of my games and have tradded on other forums but i wud love to keep it in here..

Refs wud be huge here tho.. people with like 20+ crossship. under 20 they ship first (unless both are under 20)..
