Does video mode switching really work with a xbox v1.6? Because the intro movie stutters in a NTSC game when I force it to run in NTSC and a PAL game that gets a black border on the right side of my tv if I switch the eeprom to ntsc doesn't get that black border when i force it to run in NTSC with unleashx. The movie in the NTSC game doesn't stutter if I change to NTSC in the eeprom.

So it seems that the video mode switching in UnleashX 0.36.0620A doesn't have any effect at all for me or am I doing something wrong? <

I have the same problem

I want to play Pal games in Pal system and Ntsc in Ntsc. Even worse are DVD movies!

I have v1.6 NTSC X-Box. My console plays everything in NTSC system. When I switch bios to PAL it plays everything i PAL.

Is there any way for "auto switch"?? I didn't have these problems on EvoX dashboard, but I want to stay with UnleashX

In EvoX there is an option which works perfectly with games:

System Management -> System settings -> Video -> Game region -> AUTO

On Pal console it turn on NTSC output with NTSC games and comes back to Pal after restart/ejecting disc. I wish UnleashX worked like that

And DVD Movies still stays on Pal mode. So it works only with Games. <

Yes, I have EvoX-M8 v16.

I'll show you my ini file soon. I just want to make sure it still works (I play with dashboards all the time). <

OK.

So right now I have clean UnleashX on my C drive and EvoX folder with 2 files: evoxdash.xbe and evox.ini. That's all you need. My evox.ini looks like this:

Perhaps it's the Evox M8 16 stuff in the bios section that makes it work but the ini file is really hard to read so can you upload it again with line breaks? :luv:

Which version of evox are you using and what's the file size?
My version: 3935
Filesize: 770 048 bytes

I tried it twice. Open it with Wordpad and then copy to Notepad

I use EvoX 3935 as well. It weights 770,048 bytes. So it's the same file. <

Nothing has changed, coz there was no new UnleashX version so far

Auto video mode change doesn't work on v1.6 with EvoX M8+ BIOS in this dash. So when I launch a game I switch to EvolutionX dash, where video switching works fine. <

I have the same experience with unleash in that no video setting makes any difference... but with evox i can change to ntsc without problem but the auto setting doesn't do its job ...i'm using EvoX-M8 v16 on a PAl 1.6 aswell... so a look at the BIOS section in your evox.ini (link doesn't work anymore) might help me out getting auto in evox working

Auto only works if the game is region coded, which most games are, but some are region 0 and then auto-switching won't work.

These are the important settings that I changed in evox.ini btw.
