got the chips yesterday (screwed up my laptop's MBR

, easy fix). excellent shipping dude.

im about to install the chips and bring my mobo's back to life.

Hey litspiff got a few issues/questions

#1 How do you flash a duo X2 GS with a USB programmer

#2 I tried to install a Duo X2 i got from someone on my testbox which is TSOP flashed and softmoded. But now it turns on then off 3 times then just blinks red i tried googling but no dice figured you might know. I removed the solder already and its still the same thing (i dont know why). Also the guy sad the chip had a bad flash or something.

#3 also i might be looking for a chip also obviously if i cant get this one to work LOL

Also what was this about mobos? you sell fragged ones cheap or something?

Ok looks like i might have got to use the proggrammer currctly now i was using the spidder one cause i was assuming thats what it was. Now im using the Xecuter one which i just figured out i need the x2cable.exe file which i guess i found the right one cause i think i got it to detect the chip will report back if goes well or not but i still need to know #2

ok i got an error when flashing maybe you know why lol

Not to steal his reply...but yes he does have some frag boards for sale. I just bought 5 from him. Only catch is that they may or may not work, he doesn't know. His Duox chips are $13 each...don't know about with the extra pin headers though.

ok, i just sent the mobo money

jewel looks excellent by the way.

i had a spare jewel to experement with (from a while back, badly scratched), so i messed with the chrome.
it turns out that acetone softens the chrome enough so it just flakes away. (i just used a toothpick and it flaked right off)
just remember to do that before you sand it, you dont want to ruin a good sanding job

use it or dont, just thought id let you know
