More Pics posted in my HTXBox GallerySo I've decided I want a smaller Xbox.
Here was my
build thread, but it has tons of dead pic links now. This thing has two harddrives (160GB for fun, and Stock for worry-free Xbox Live!)
the GutsXbox 1.0 motherboard
Xecuter 3 chip: soldered pin header (no worry about shaking lose) - $60
Samsung 616t DVD drive - $120 (will play damn near any disk you throw
at it, orininal DVD drives will not read CD-Rs)
Cooler Master Cavalier in Black - $110
2 x 60mm rear fans, 1 80mm side fan
1x 80mm fan attached to CPU heatsink with adapter - $15
Heatsinks on xbox MCPX chip (most likely to hurt xbox if overheat) - $5
350 watt PC power supply attached to Tribemods xbox power converter - $70
160 GB Samsung HDD
Stock Xbox Harddrive (play on live with no problems, left switch switches HDs)
5th port 3-4' extension for DVD dongle and IR on/off eye (hooked up through rear of unit via a serial cord, right switch turns on 5th port)
Custom 4 IDE ATA100 cable - $20
XIR v2.0 - $20 (on/off with MS remote, programmable via PC)
Extended controller ports
X3 panel, shows if chip enabled (blue) or disabled (red) also shows network activity and switches for bios banks
Case front lights show power and HD activity
Case reset button is an alternative Eject button (one on drive works also)
Case Audio Meter fully functional
2 front USB ports wired in parallel with ports 1 & 2 (cannot use when controller plugged into those ports)
Port 1 yellow wire already wired to Power for Controller On/Off mod
I spent over $700 in this XboxYou will need a MS remote and DVD dongle for full functionality. They can be picked up at used games stores normally for around $15. My dongle is not included
Also that is an older picture and the controller ports have since been resealed and molded and are near perfection.
Here is the DealI'm looking for a stock Xbox, X3, X3 CP, and HDD (160-200 GB)
so....
1) buy this outright = $350
2) trade stock box + $250
3) trade all that stuff = free**
* if you do not want the 160 GB HDD than just know that this Samsung 160 "plays well" with the stock WD HDD on the same IDE.
**You will have to pay ALL shipping costs, including anything to me and the HTXBox to you. This thing is pretty heavy (case) so know that shipping may be expensive.
***With any trades I will need your equipment first.
