Broke Motherboard, can anyone fix?
« on: October 26, 2003, 06:18:00 PM »

I was trying to isntalled my xecuter 2.2 pro modchip, and apparently its not working, I'm pretty sure it's due to the fact that I accidentily soldered off 2 resistors and 1 capacitor around the lpc header area. I'm currently in search of someone who thinks theyd be able to repair this for me, and if not, then if anyone is interested in buying it, let me know. It's in perfect mint condition, it just doesnt work. The xbox turns on fine, and the drives power up but it flashes red and green. Let me know if anyone can help, or if anyone is interested in buying it for parts or fixing.

I'm not trying to flame to anything of the such but how do you accidentally solder off 2 resistors and a capacitor?

Im sorry, im sure it was a good xbox.   :(

You have my sympathies.

Sell it here, if you break it up into peices you will make enough to buy a new box or damn close.  Good luck!

No, the parts are close to microscopic, and they fell in my rug somewhere... I'd pay $50 for someone to repair it. I just wanna get a new one or this one working, without spending too much...

Is this a version 1.0 motherboard ( with the daughterboard in front?) - I may be able to hook you up with a replacement if it is..

from my experiences in these forums i have seen xbox-wired representatives to be very rude, especially the one person who was selling the dev kit.  i suggest you buy a new mobo and sell this broken mobo for the ram and heatsinks and mcpx chip if anyone has the balls to remove that.
