I don't know where it was exactly but I remember seeing something about being able to use an md5 hash of your passcode for MXM_Entry.xmls.  Is this true?

Yes. <passcodemd5> instead of <passcode> is used. MD5 of the 5 character code desired for the password, zero-padded, of course.

Like so <passcodemd5>0x252435ert345634tert56</passcodemd5>

The MD5 here is just junk. I am aware it's not valid.

Exactly.

Let's see a ten year old figure that password out...

NOTE TO SELF: Add MD5 support to ActionScript!

When using passcodes, don't the numbers show up on the screen anyway?  BenJeremy, is there a way to do a "button" algorithm.  Like for cheat codes, UP UP DOWN DOWN, B, X, B, B or something like that?  At least it won't show up on the screen.  Just a thought!

Yes, but presumably you aren't cranking up a game of BMX XXXuntilt he kiddies go to bed.

Perhaps with the advent of plug-and-play ActionScripts, somebody will add visually secure passwords.

ok the script is up at AXS:
http://www.allxboxskins.com/resources/mxm/...m=actionscripts
its called MXMpasswordscript i think.
Whenever the new release comes out i should be able to reduce the scripts size by about 75 percent, because of some new actionscript stuff  :D

Hey tayior7, I just tried this out and it works!... I already changed all my passcode entries to use your script... The only thing is that sometimes u have to press the button a few times before it recognizes it, and the dialog isnt completely centered. Otherwise great script

yea, it wont be centered on all tvs because each tv is a little diff, but i did put the textbox in the very center (maybe it was just in the center of my tv, i dont remember).  I dunno why u would have to press the button multiple times, i never got this.... anybody else havin that problem??

To make it more clearer, I meant it doesnt always recognize the button inputs (not for loading up the input dialog)...  I will test it out a few more times and let u know

hey, can this work for folders too or submenu's? I don't feel like putting a password on every game or application, just on the submenus.
