QUOTE (dink @ Oct 25 2003, 03:53 PM)
In case you did NOT notice, there is a short between 2 pins in the picture!

Pins #85 and #86.  Count 5 pins up, starting from the bottom right corner.

The point being, you have look very very close for shorts!

good eye man smile.gif nice price as well, but my balls arent hard enuf for this...

very nice! just recieved chips today, soldered them in. Can I get one more set? I would love to add more ram to another of my boxes as well.

I have at least one short on my 3rd chip. I know this because I booted after each install, and all was well until I installed the 3rd chip. What should my ohm meter read so I can tell if it is a short or not? I don't have an ohm meter, but I think I'll visit radio shack tomorrow. Again, cheers, very nice product.

I will do it for $150

$20 will be for return shipping
$30 for the chips
$100 soldering fee  ($25 per chip)

Sorry, since I don't have any more chips, I will not do any installs.

damn i forgot it was 4 chips.  ...dont get me wrong soldering 100 pts for 25 bux is fair especially for all the risk.  i will think about it....  does sound tempting.

where you located and you have feedback before i give you 150 bux of my money and my xbox?

edit:
wow....that video looks like it was easy to do....hmmm.....

If you look closely, in the RED circles you will see a solder bridge.

when using the ohm meter, what should it read if there is a short, and for an open pin? Where can I get an ohm meter?

A short will read "0" ohms, just like when you touch the probes together.  An open will read as if you had nothing connected.  You can get an ohm meter at Radio Shack.
