-FourDoor- those are amazing.
Just make sure they're a bit more readable in small size.

I want to skew the entire layer to give it like a 3dimensional effect so that the left side of the picture is closer to the front of the screen (thus looks larger) and the right side of the picture looks farther

If there's some room around your logo (ie the logo you want to skew doesn't fill the entire layer) it'll be easier to see what you're doing (Image>Canvas Size will let you add some space if necessary). Make sure you have the right layer highlighted in the layers palette (you don't need to make a selection first, as Transform will apply to the whole layer), then all you need do is Edit>Transform>Perspective which will give you a bounding box with corner points you can drag. Drag the top corner point down, or the bottom one up, and Photoshop will do the same to the other so you get a receding perspective effect. Play around - dragging the middle point on the right side upwards will help to give a realistic perspective effect, and dragging the corner points sideways does something quite useless...

Thank you soooo  much! I just tried it and it worked! Now I can try out some new things with the logos...  beerchug.gif

I did my fair share senior year of high school and freshmen year of college, so I just induce a flashback so that I think I'm an artist, when actually I'm just havin a flashback and think the shit looks cool...  laugh.gif

Artwork is amazing, but the purpose of a logo is to identify the app in question.  So a very clear 'MXM' is needed in the logo, visible even in small sizes.

That's more likely, just a matter of opinion.

By definition,

Logo - a logo is a unique design or symbol that is used to identify a specific company, organization or product.  A logo can be trademarked if it is distinctive enough.

Would have to agree with you on that one, BM.

OK, Dont laugh.. while thinking about how to put MXM into an icon.. I drafted this.   While it looks stupid (and incomplete) but it actually has a lot of meaning.

How many MXM's do you see in there? - to reflect its customization and flexibility

The four colors to represent the eyecandy mxm offers.

The Green circle in the middle - obviously a xbox mark.

The darker green dot in the green circle represents the single developer - BJ

The corner M's surrounding "BJ" represent those that actually do contribute, wip tester, idealists, other devs, users.

....

Kinda looks like a snowflake though... or when icon-d' a spaceship crosshair.

I wasnt going to post it.. but was hoping that maybe it would help inspire a "icon" icon.. and not a text one. ( although official text (font etc) would still be needed.

Does anyone have any objections to a logo based on just the letter "M"?

By the way, great concept KF....
