if it does it for all xbox discs, then its probaby the drive.... unless all of your xbox discs are scratched, etc...

try checking ebay possibly as well.

Same thing happened here. So I bought a used Thomson with no faceplate for $50.00 off eBay. It sucks to have to replace something, but if it has to be done, then what else can you do? The Samsung 616t can be had for around the same price on eBay, if you want to mod it and flash it yourself.
