Need To Buy A Working Thompson Dvd Drive

check the buy-sell forums here,or on ebay -  used thompsons generally go for about  $50, modified pc dvds can be had for about $75 and original xbox samsung dvd drives have been sold for over $100  - prices are variable and set mostly by what you'll pay - so don't be afraid to haggle, as for your red flashing light, are you saying that you did *nothing* to your box?    a release day xbox has a bios that does not check for a dvd drive, so it would most likely not be related to a dead dvd...

I never modded this Xbox at all.  I have no idea why it now has a red/green light.  Before it was just it couldnt read discs, and when I boot the xbox, it get the call customer service, but no number in the corner.
