Same here, not only that, they were wanting the serial number off my xbox which I can't give them. The case is the original v1 but my motherboard was replaced with a v2 so I am not sure if that would cause any hassles with my xbox live since my motherboard and case do not match.

Why would they cross refrence that?  and how (I am not understanding something here)

the only reason why I think they need anything is to prove you bought the package and not just wanting the headset for xbconnect or whatever..

so what happens if you just tell them the number?  what will they possibly do?
it shouldn't matter that you changed your case .. as long as you have a good xbox live account thats all that "should" matter.

COME ON SOMEONE HAS TO HAVE ONE??

Maybe I am just being paranoid but does anyone know for sure that they can't match up my v1.1 motherboard and my v1.0 case (if I give them my serial number) with my xbox live information and cancel my subscription?
