BJ,

Thanks for the great work.  I have been using it as a dash and for multigame dvd-r's and it works flawless.  Had one problem with a freeze, but it resolved on the next release.

One question - You had mentioned earlier about splitting the release at v1.0 to a dvd-r and dash.  Is that still a plan?  Or is it possible to strip some things out (network, ftp, bios flash, etc..) of the source and recompile using 5588 xdk?  for a more streamlined dvd-r multigame disc.

Thanks

biggrin.gif Yup i agree this would be great as you don't need all that stuff for dvd's... If so i'm making a skin for it  biggrin.gif

Yes, at some point, I will be there - it is part of "the plan"

You'll will be able to use either version, but I'll pare down the "Lite" version using conditional compiles to strip out a lot of the functionality strictly for DVD-R games launching.

In the FTP server add an option to force it to truncate filenames that exceed the Xbox limit instead of rejecting the file transfer.

This is a small idea...pretty much worthless but I am still curious to know if it can be implemented.

Would it be possible for MXM to grab a thumbnail off of a disk (retail or backup) and display it in the preview window?  This would be similiar to how it picks up the thumbs from games on the hdd.

Maybe support for high quality video formats. Some WM8 files look choppy and low quality.

the reason for that is the person who compressed it probably did a really bad job encoding it.(Assuming they set bandwidth way too high).

ANYWAY, the coooooolest skinnning feature I could ask for(short of 3d skinning) Would be have allow menu elements linked to a  pivot point and have the ability to rotate around that point.  That would open up tons of skinning abilities and would be a neccessity in 3d skinning however that may work.

And have you thought of what program you will support for the 3d when it actually comes out? I am pretty sure that pacman3d for xbox uses 3dsmax files so you could ask them how to implement that if you didnt know how.

another really nice feature i would like to see is to access the system menu with a press of the right thumbstick like Xports menu access, instead of the Y button access we have now

Bo-Xlink just needs the skin support that mxm has and would look sweet... people could make online variations of there skins... nice green dash for offline then orange for online

hey BJ, maybe a small app to allow you access to your IM contact lists and possibly send messages? i know the source code should be available since so many different companies and programmers have made their own apps... ie) trillian that access this info.
