I want to add a female header pin to the chip. IS that easy to do? So that its easily removed and re flashed. Could I use a matrix programmer to flash it if I added the pin header?

EDIT: I WILL NO LONGER BE GIVING AWAY HEADERS. THIS IS BECOMING TOO TROUBLESOME. I INITIALLY GAVE THEM OUT BECAUSE I'M TRYING TO BE FRIENDLY BUT THIS HAS TURNED OUT TO BE TOO MUCH OF A HASSLE. SORRY GUYS.

If anyone knows where I can buy a programmer for bare chips at a reasoable price let me know. Is what I am looking for called an eeprom programmer? I want to remove the chip from the socket to program it. Any advice?

if u have a cheapmod in an xbox just use that

as for the bare chips.. i know its possible to solder wires to a bare chip. but how well does it work and how safe/easy is it? or will i fry the chips?
