2nd order........
you its funny how some things work.....
you live your life everyday as normal time goes by and THEN you order modchips and the day start taking forever and the mailman is late everyday and finaly you get you chipz !!! live goes on AGAIN LOL  beerchug.gif
used to have matrix and ill tell you if your an idiot it was good but that matrix was pain in the ass to install and keep that thing from moving even with a big screw also way overpriced i think. and had to do and hunt for bios.
with DEF's cheapmod shit i can take the xbox anywhere and dont have to worry about if the chip is going to get loose or not work !
DEF do you have a frequent buyers program buy so many get 1 free  biggrin.gif
or a club card or something ?

here is my problem guys, i have a bunch of these chips I picked up from def. But I need to flash them. They are already flashed with an older bios so I am able to boot to evox. But i need to flash them with the new bios. When I go to evox and pick my 256k bios, then I pick (y), then the damn thing just sits there and does nothing. WTF? please help.

Thanks Iceman

deadspider, yeah i'm starting to switch over although my supplies of priority boxes are limited. i need to get more of them. i especially try to ship out unassembled chips in boxes since the socket pins can easily get damaged.

can anyone help out sha with that evox.ini command to flash the SST chips? the harddrive that i use to store everything died and i don't have the command handy.

BTW, I'm trying to obtain that new Cromwell bios that is shipping with the Chameleon. If you don't know what that new bios does, basically it makes it MUCH easier to re-flash the chips. All you do is boot up with the chip that's pre-flashed w/ the new Cromwell bios, then stick in a CD with the bios you want and it automatically reflashes the chip with that bios. It skips the Ozxflash CD. You guys can read more about it on the front page news of xboxscene.

I'll let you guys know when I get the bios.

http://www.ozxchip.c...ash_content.htm   theres everything you need to know.

How to use OzXFlash

Step 1 - Creating the OzXFlash CD
(This step can be avoided by purchasing the OzXFlash CD from this website)

Download the OzXFlash CD from the downloads section of this website and using WinZIP or any compatible extraction tool extract the ozxflashcd.iso file.

Using your CD Burner software burn the ISO image file in UDF format in Disc-at-once mode and ensure the CD is finalized. We recommend ahead Nero.

Your OzXFlash CD should now be ready for use!

Step 2 - Creating the Bios CD

Ensure that the bios file you wish to use is a 256k bios file.

Make a copy of the bios file you wish to use and rename this copy to bios.bin

Burn the bios.bin file onto a CD.
(If you have trouble reading this CD in your XBox
add a file of several megabytes in size to the CD)

 Step 3 - Running OzXFlash

Turn your XBox console ON and then follow the instructions that are displayed on screen.
You will notice that the OzXFlash contains many pauses during its operation, this is by design and is to allow the DVD-Rom drive to mount the CD correctly as the XBox's DVD-Rom drives are very fussy when it comes to media compatibility.

When the flashing procedure is complete the DVD-Rom tray will eject, remove the CD from the tray and the console will shutdown.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All Consoles should have the cover installed when booting Cromwell to ensure air flow is maintained. Boot problems and video fragmentation have been identified when the console heats up if the cover is not fitted!

Theres not much more to say.
