Optimizing With Qwix Is A Waste Of Time...
« on: December 13, 2005, 10:24:00 AM »

It has given more disc errors than anything. I sent two questions to Devenic about it, who apparently has a lot to do with Qwix but he never bothered to respond to me.

From what I have heard, optimizing screws up the file directories. Forget it.

Bah.  Optimizing discs does not screw up directories.  I'd like to see something that can backup a claim that it does.  I wrote Qwix, so yes I do have a lot to do with it.  smile.gif  More likely the problem is the location of the root directory, and an aging Xbox DVD drive having trouble keeping up with seek patterns.

I never saw your posts, so don't assume that it means I never bothered responding.  Real life has a funny way of setting priorities for you, and Qwix is not high on my list.
