I know you CAN do that, but it seems that it would be much more convenient to use a dedicated programmer, especially for someone who only does this sort of thing occasionally...

The offical Xecuter Programmer should be out soon. I was told by extreme-mods next week. I willbe getting one of those.

depends on the programmer u buy. some will jus have a socket on it so u need to extract the chip from the cheapmod and put it in the programmer's socket
