if you want the mobo...ur gonna need the harddrive which goes along with it...u cant just use any hard drive with any mobo.

Lock the new HDD to the new mobo.

unless you already have unlocked one that matches your kernal, that makes it easier, you just pop it in and use configMagic to lock it back. or if you dont have a unlocked XBOX HD you can just use any unlocked HD

Sure he can use any HDD. He just need's SlaYer'S installer disc.

I unlock HDDs and use them in my PC! Don't need the original for a backup.

Sorry, no mobo to offer.
