To whom it may concern,
As I was performing a search of products that matched my needs on the internet (asetek vapochill xe II), I found a website that had the object in question for a reasonable price $724.99. I decided to buy the object since it was very reasonable. Comparable websites typically had a markup of 10% [FrozenCPU.com]. At the time I was unaware of whether Leet-gear.com had the object in question actually in stock; it turned out they did not. Rather they had to contact the manufacturer directly and ship it from the Netherlands. I did not know this at the time.
Incidentally, I noticed a day later that the company website, upped their prices of said product to correspond with that of FrozenCPU.com. I am unaware of whether this effected later relations between them and me.
In any event, I became somewhat annoyed as to why my case has not come in by the end of the week [seven days later]. I usually could rely upon a company to send me their product relatively fast, since most suppliers supply information as to whether a product is in stock or not: accordingly you can only order it when it is. I also wondered whether my order had been processed. So, I ended up writing about three letters, and even getting on a chat system that was supplied for the purpose of contacting support. No luck. It took them 2 days to respond to my various quarries. In the end they said they would check my account and make sure everything was kosher. Concurrent to this I also investigated as to why it took so long to get a Vapochill and found that they are normally shipped from the Netherlands, so it takes about two weeks.
After this I decided to wait patiently, doing so for about a week before writing another query. The reason for this was that Leet-gears competitor, Frozen CPU had received their shipment of Vapochills recently. I correlated the two because I found out that FrozenCPU functions as a drop off point for smaller resellers, ones like leet-gear.com. After I wrote them another query about why it takes so long, they responded by saying it was indeed because they shipped it from the Netherlands and that they expected a shipment by the end of the week, and I would receive confirmation as soon as it was shipped from their offices. This correspondence occurred roughly two weeks after the initial purchase.
So I waited, and waited. 10 days later there was still no shipment confirmation. And I wrote them a letter requesting a reason for tardiness. There was no response this time. I waited two more days, and wrote another letter: Again, no response. So I waited two more days, and today I wrote a third and final letter, giving them an ultimatum: they should either give me a good reason as to why the package is so late, or they need to refund my money. That was three hours ago.
Truthfully, I would enjoy receiving the item, even if it were late. But because of how long it has taken, it makes me wonder if I am just getting burned because I found a lower price on an object that should have been priced higher. As such, if they dont want to deliver the item because it would be a loss, then so be it. Ill take a refund, and bring my business somewhere else.
Additionally, In this time I have also given leet-gear two negative ratings, via Ratings Reseller. Were they to actually try and service their customer, I would correct those previous ratings.
Sincerely
James Beilman
