Order id:   #10888
Order date:   13-04-2005 04:45:14
Tracking number:   Shipped USPS

Email received April 14th
it's now April 24th....

Maybe I'm just being antsy... But after reading 9 pages of problems with this website, maybe not. 10 days to ship a chip one state away...

It wouldn't be half as bad, if I could actually login into the webpage (secure login link brings up a page cannot be displayed) That and their IRC channel is moderated.. so you can talk, and must PM the admins...only to sit around for hours with no response.

Nonfunctional website, 90% of the reviews on this thread are bad, if and when I get my product, this will be the last time I order from ChipDealer.Com.

Hopefully you will have good news for me after seeing my post.

As of April 26, 2005 I still never received back the new XBOX and PS2 sent to DJP to be modded along with 2 DMS3 chips I purchased elsewhere. This puts me out over $500 and all actions appear to be criminal. I have business in Pontiac in early June and I plan to visit the address given along with the local authorities. Ordered back in November 11,2004

Kenneth

I even ordered from chipdealer only to find out that it is being serviced by DJP formerly of houseofmodchips.com and A-Plus Mods, the same Darryl who promised me that my son would receive his XBOX and PS2 and that he was sorry for the mix up.

Well here is my update chipdealer didn't hold up to their end of the bargin. I had to go to my bank and dispute the charges in order to get my money back. I gave them every chance in the world to correct the problem. My order was #1164 and I placed it on 02-17-2005 I recieved this final e-mail on 04-09-2005

Hi, we will not be able to finish this order and can not manually refund you.

In order to obtain your refund, you should go to your bank and ask them to dispute the charge. You may also call the support number for your credit card and do it over the phone.

We tried to finish this but could not, and we weren’t able to manually refund this order and this is the only way you will get your money back.

Sorry and I wish I could be more help to you.

Thank you,

Darryl

I have also been banned from their IRC room ( I will even admit I was banned with good cause. After being mistreated as a customer I said some things and told a few other people how to cancel their orders ) but that is okay as I am spending my time with the Better Business Beureau. I like Lokkay have kept every e-mail and IRC log and have submitted all of this information to the BBB. This will not kill their business but it will prevent them from becoming a member of the Better Business Beureau.
This is just my opinion but I think these fellas take people's orders keep their money just long enough to collect interest on it. They then keep you running in circles with false promises of fulfilling the origional order. And finally tell you to dispute the charges if you want your money back. What a great scam!!!
Don't fall for the free controller, free dvd remote, 5% "ordererror" discount code. If you agree to any of these you are giving them permission to keep your money longer until they can fix the problem. They never will fix it.

My advice is:
1.  If you haven't ordered from them yet don't!
2.  If you have ordered from them:  Go to https://chipdealer.com/order and cancel your order. Then go immediatly to your bank, credit union or credit card company and tell them you wish to dispute the charges.

When I look back I should have noticed that:
there is no link on their site incase you need to cancel.
every time I contacted them there was a new excuse as to why I didn't have my order yet.
the guys on IRC I spoke with were DJP and RoT they both seemed very nice and very sincere but I believe it is nothing more than an act to reassure you that everything is fine.
This has left a nasty stain on their reputation with me. If I recieved a package from them tomorrow with my origional order (1 X3-control panel, 1 X3CE, and 1 Xapt3r) I would sing their praises to the world. Infact I would take my own Business website offline and design a new site devoted to praising them. But that won't happen as I already have my money refunded and they aren't a business interested in satisfying people.

I am also having difficulties with Chipdealer but in the US.

I ordered a complete x-box & mod chip on 6 April. I was informed that it was shipped on the 15th. However further investigations revelaed that hey had not shipped it. I called (19th) and eventually reached someone who said they had a back log but promised it would be shipped within a few days. I'm still waiting. I've call 10 times since and no one is at home. I've e-mailed 5 times. One responce said it would ship mid week (4th May) it has not. I called again today and their mailbox is full. Sounds like they are no longer in buisness.
Has anyone else had similar problems.

Talked to the shipping dept. and he shipped ''again'' with signature confirmation on Friday and I got it Yesterday day which was Monday. Overall good service. What is funny is I received the X2.6 Chip and programmer on 4/29/2005 they shipped out of their cali office and I am good to mod an xbox for a friend but here it is that 5/13/2005 and I have not received the the DVD drive.  The Day I ordered the chip and drive, I called and talked to a sales rep with 2 questions, 1.  If they had the dvd drives in stock and was told they did, and 2.  The submit order button sends to an unencrypted site sending all data via no https .  Well I placed the order because I needed to get both the chip and dvd drive.  Well for the past 1.5 weeks, no answer on their chat or even phone.  In my opinion, I don't think I would order from these guys again because I can understand a pre-order but damn, when you ask a question  on their chat, the site is locked or out of sync.  And their phone number is no longer taking any calls or voice mail.  At least when I ordered from another dealer they lagged on shipping my order but at least they would answer questions and communicate with their customers not.  Chip Dealer.   Now I feel I just paid $ 89 bucks for a Chip and Programmer eventhough the chip and programmer was supposed to include Free Shipping.  I did like the fact that since I am in California that they shipped the chip fast but with how they are not answering any questions on their irc chat or even answering the phone.  I guess I am just out of the cost of the drive.  I cannot recommend ordering from ChipDealer for the reasons lack of support and not answering anything.

Ordered a Premodded Xbox w/ X3 chip on May 7th, Said it was shipped on May 9th to arrive on May 12th. Great huh? Not so fast.

Fed-Ex says that they just printed a label and thats it.

This RoT person on their irc constantly says that he will take care of it, Which I find to be BS.

Come to find out this DJP person has quit the group, Has all the items that people have ordered and hasnt shipped a thing and 1 person said (HAHA) that the owner has to fly out to the place and pick them up. UH HUH RIGHT.

1st they say it takes awhile for fed-ex to update, NO, Usually like 10-14 hours if not less (FED-EX told me this personally).

2nd they said it was that the items are on HOLD status due to fed-ed wanting the shipping pre-paid or some crude.

Yesterday, RoT changed the topic to: Pending orders notified are being shipped today.. EU NOW OPEN !!! and told me my box would ship yesterday and that fed-ex status would change later that night. Here it is nearly 24 hours later and still the status is the same "Package Data Transmitted to Fed-Ex", Meaning they dont have the package.

I have called my bank and told them that alot of people are having the same issues as I am and that they said most likely I will get the charges reversed.

STEAR CLEAR of these people. They ARE FRAUDS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know of over 10 people who are in the same boat as I am.

Sorry to dig this back up, but I've been reading this topic for a few months now (I'm a glutton for the human tragedy) and have made simple conclusions:

1) They have the best prices.
2) Their customer support doesn't support customers.
3) If you buy a premodded system, then you will be witness to the second coming of Christ before you receive your order.
4) This is the weird one. If you order an item that DOES NOT require installation, then they will ship it to you within 3 to 10 days.

I started out early last year with the original Xenium. Just before Christmas, I got a new box and installed my ICE. I have since sold those two machines to friends who are too inept with a soldering iron and who want their products immediately. No biggie, I just restored both drives to stock (120gb/200gb SlaYer's stock smile.gif ) and walked both of them through backing up their games/XBMC/dashboards, etc... So I bought a cheap box at ebgames and went trekking for my next chip. I never had any problems with Xeniums, but I wanted to try a different one this go-around.

With my chipdealer conclusions, I decide to order a single X3 chip with NO extras from them. I'm kinda cheap, BTW.  laugh.gif I ordered it last Saturday, May 7. I payed with my debit card and just went about my life without so much as thinking about my chip. Now, this is where it gets confusing because this isn't a horror story like the ones I've read before. I don't even wanna quote those stories for fear of going to hell. So...... I receieved an email from them on the 12th that I read today. They refunded my money without any explanation. What... the... fuck...? I never made any attempt to contact them or even visit their website aside from placing my order.

I guess what I'm saying is: a lot of you have invested much too much time and much too much money in this. SEEK LEGAL ADVICE. I'm serious. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones that nothing happened to. Time and again people will say that they have been taken advantage of with these guys even AFTER reading this thread. I just wanted a cheap chip. But like I said, I was lucky that THEY made the first move and refunded my money. No harm, no foul.

Before I have to edit this, I just remembered something. I went to check out the site to find out why my money was refunded, and...

THE SITE WAS DOWN!!!! Yes, you guys that have suffered dearly should definitely find yourselves good lawyers and hunt these guys down. Your collective loss and suffering DOES warrant criminal investigation. I hope everything goes well for you folks that have been duped.

P.S. Some people got taken for a ride, and AFTER they DIDN'T receive any goods that they purchased, they went back and did business with the same people that ripped them off. THIS truly boggles the mind. huh.gif

I registered here just to post this.  I wish I had seen this thread before I ordered from these crooks.  The people in there IRC chat room are so full of crap its unbeleivable.   I waited two weeks for a tracking number that I never got and no one seemed to be able to get in charge of the person who ships out.   I had to call my bank and dispute the charges which is a major hassle.   I am going to try to spread the word on these people so they are forced to shut down.

Boy, I wish I could just get my money back by complaining to my bank.  I actually ordered an Xecuter 3CE for my xbox and DMS4 Pro for my PS2.  I ordered install service for both consoles at the same time.  So I sent my PS2 and my XBOX in the same box to chipdealer.

The crazy thing is, my PS2 and XBOX already had mod chips in them.  I had the Xecuter 2.2 and Dms 3+, but I wanted the newest best thing.  Plus my XBOX had the Halo green case, 128mb memory upgrade and Samsung DVD drive.

Being the stupid person I am, I went to the teamxecuter web site and saw the list of official Xecuter retailers.  When I had my install work done before, I went to system-mods and modchipman.  Both were fast and efficient.  They were both official Xecuter retailers.  So I figured what the heck, chipdealer was on the official retailer list as well.  Xecuter hadn't let me down so far.

A few days after sending off my two consoles, I noticed a thread on the Xecuter website about retailer fedback.  To my shock, I read page after page of horror stories.  If I had just ordered chips from them, I would have canceled the charge as soon as I could.  But my consoles were already on the way.

04-14-05, my consoles arrive at chipdealer.

04-14-05 thru 05-01-05, No notifications from chipdealer.  No response to phone calls, no response to emails.

05-01-05 Contact RoT on IRC channel.  He gives me DJP's phone number and says that I need to send 20 emails to DJP to get a reponse.

05-01-05 thru 05-07-05 After many emails, no response from DJP.

05-07-05 Contact DJP on IRC, he says PS2 will mail 05-08-05 and XBOX "next week".  Promises tracking number.

05-08-05 thru 05-18-05 No emails from DJP no tracking number.  No responses on IRC.

05-18-05 email Inferis at chipdealer and actually get a response.  Email stating that my consoles will go out on 05-19-05.  I ask for a tracking number and get a response that one would be sent as soon as the shipper gives him the information.

05-18-05 Filed complaint with Better Business Buruea.  Upon investigation, none of the Bureau claims have ever been resolved.

05-18-05 thru present - Still no tracking number, I find out that DJP no longer works for chipdealer.  No responses from chipdealer.

So I am pretty sure that if this doesn't work out, not only did I spend $200 on mod chips an install service, I spent $20 on shipping and lost $300 in consoles, $100 in already installed mod chips and $100 in RAM.

I think this company's standard response is, "Sure we will ship it out tommorow"  They never ship it out tommorow, and if they ever do respond, the will always give the same answer.

Funny thing is, when DJP started, he acted like he was going to make everything allright.  "He was brought in to make sure things were set straight and now they were shipping out of MI instead of CA."  Guess it didn't make any difference.  He never did respond to any of my emails.

At this point I am missing out on excellent games like God of War and Gran Turismo 4.  I played Gran Turismo 4 for a whole week before sending off my consoles.  Guess I will never get to play it.   I won't be buying a PS2 or XBOX again.  It is too close to the next console life cycle.

I really wish xecuter would remove this store from their official retailer list.  I decided to go to chipdealer soley based on my trust of Xecuter.  They really don't care about their customers if they continue to support chipdealer.

DON'T SHOP AT CHIPDEALER!!!!
