Optimizing Iso's Not Created By Quix

Ok, i was recently shown a method of creating iso's using moogui's program.. Which creates the same file layout as the original disc.. and it just creates an iso... Now would it run any better or worse after optimizing it with quix? I don't really even know what the optimizing does to be honest, i just have always done it. Thanks ahead for any information.
