Same deal here.  Ordered Aladdin Advance from them Jan 2, and my order status on their website is still "processing".  Well, they had no trouble "processing" $40 from my bank account.  I e-mailed them 3 times and have yet to get a response.  Their website looks very legit, but don't trust them.  They process their orders through a "company" called mypaysystems.com, so I'm going after them instead...they have my money biggrin.gif

Just an update:  I've filed a complaint with their payment processor (mypaysystems.com).  They tell me that if modchipnow.com does not reply to their inquiry within 48 hours, I will receive a refund and they will be referred to some watch list database.  It's been over 24 hours at least since I made the complaint, and there is no indication from mypaysystems.com that they have replied.  So I will most likely get my moola back (unless it turns out that mypaysystems.com is just the same guy or something) but I kinda doubt it, since modchipnow.com seems to be offline.  But in the meantime I have placed an order with system-mods.com (who I KNOW is reputible since they're endorsed by this site) for an Executer2.3b Pro, so I got a better chip in the long run anyway.  Seems like the real modchip vendors are few and far between, but don't get too discouraged if you've been scammed...they'll get theirs.  Sooner or later they'll scam the wrong guy and get busted.

Yea I just went through the same thing.  I ordered a Gameboy Flasher on December 25, 2003.  The next day my account said processing and they had already charged my credit card.  I waited a few days and after no update on the site saying it was shipped I contacted the owner.  They assured me they were having website problems and that my order HAS been shipped already.  I replied back asking for my tracking # and didn't hear from them in 1.5 weeks.  I immediately contacted mypaysytems and requested a refund.  2 days later I called them and they said my refund request was accepted and I'll have my money back in 5-10 days.  After dealing with my paysystems the owner of modchipnow finally emailed me back saying they had ISP problems so their website was down and they couldn't update anyone's account still but assured my product HAS been shipped by airmail so I couldn't track it.  I have my money back and I'm hoping they did ship it because they will be out $167, but I won't hold my breath.  Obviously I wouldn't recommend this site to any1, they are just bad news in general.

I have also received a refund but it seems like modchipnow is still trying to send me my product.  I received an email that they got a bad batch of chips so all orders from like December 22-January11 were supposedly shipped out on January 12 and it would take 10-15 business days to ship and there is no tracking available.  The excuses are piling up and it makes them look so lame.  STAY AWAY!!

They're just a big pile of scam-scum.  I got some generic e-mail that said they had a bad batch of chips too, so I e-mailed them again, and whaddya know, the next day I got the same generic e-mail.  Looks like it's just an auto-reply to any e-mail they get (they must know they're all complaints).  I did a "whois" lookup on their ISP, seems they're located in Nevada, rather than Hong Kong as their site states.  Just stay away.  No good has come from their "operation."

I've had no problems with them at all.  Ordered Aladdin Advance Chip in April 4th, and was shipped out the next business day (sent email saying it was shipped out) and I got it in 9 days for the day they sent me the email.  Chip works, installed with no problems at all.  So could be they really had a bout of bad times, which CAN happen to any shop (just look at Easybuy2000 and their constant "Will be available in 2 weeks" messages that go on for 3 - 5 months at a time when they are trying to get some new product.

I've sent 3 friends to Modchipnow.com as well, and all have had no problems, though one of my friends got his stuff about 24 days after it was shipped, but the date "stamp" on the package was exactly the day they emailed him, prob. just because it was airmail and you can't control that.   So other than the 24 days shipment (which I don't think was their fault, from my opinion anyway) 4 of us have had no problems at all, mind you, these orders were made in beginning of April, so it looks like it was far past the time anyone here is reporting problems.  My opinion is it was legitimate problems, or else I would have had the same experience too, as well as my friends.

I am going to order the Aladdin Live chip from there tomorrow and will keep you posted here if I have any problems.

I know this is an Xbox forum, but I purchased an item from modchipnow.com as well. (For my ps2) I placed my order on December 6, 2004. The item I bought was in stock, and should ship within 24 hours. Also, the shipping info on my purchase said that the item would arrive within 2-5 business days. This is the 5th day, and my item status still says "Pending". I still hope nothing has gone wrong and I'm not getting scammed. They might just be slow on updating the site or something, but seeing as many of you didn't get your items, I can't be so sure. But still, the last poster claimed to have no problems with the site, and neither did his pals. So I'm gonna hope that the problems we're only in early 2004, and that modchipnow.com has their act together by now.

I'll post again when I get my item, or something changes... if that ever does happen... dry.gif

Never ever ever go to the page of Modchipnow.com. They are the worst scammers and never will ship you anything. They will charge your credit card and leave your order on processing to save themselves from law. I placed an order # 3017 and never got any shipment from them. In one and half months, I have sent them many emails, easy, querying, asking my money back, threatening to post them on the web etc. but no reply or no money back. I am still trying to get my money back and I am going to put my comments on all the websites and forums I can find about modchipnow.com. I want to make sure that nobody else gets ripped off of go thru what I have to.
