Ok, well, its been 48 hours since I put in the request for a refund, and MyPaySystems is still stuck on "Waiting for response from Vendor." I'm not sure exactly what that means, I can only assume that they still haven't recieved any word from Xbox-Modchips. HOPEFULLY hehe.

Anyways, while still pissed off, I decide to run the tracking number again for shits and giggles. Its now an existing tracking number, wow! I wish they gave more detailed information on the shipment, at least where its headed.

2004/01/15 20:22  Arrival in destination country
2004/01/15 01:11  Dispatched from origin country
2004/01/14 15:03 ALLISTON, ON  Received by Canada Post

Thats basically all it says, so I can only hope that this package is mine and it IS, indeed, on its way. Hopefully it is, and HOPEFULLY, I get my refund too  biggrin.gif  I only really hope for one or the other, but both would be nice.

I'll reply with more information when I get it. But I will still never buy from this site again, and would encourage all of you to do the same. Be safe! Stay AWAY!

xbox-modchips.com absolutely sucks!!  I placed my order on 12/26/03 and I waited for 7 days then I emailed to ask for a reply.  I got nothing until I 1/8/04 when I filed a refund request.  Their shipping department had the nerve to say that the 2.3 lites were out of stock (when their website showed in stock during the time of order and even a week after that).

These guys do not take their business seriously.  They only answer emails when you file complaints with your credit card company.

I'm glad their 3rd party billing company is processing my refund at the moment.  DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS!!  Hey xbox-modchips.com, if you are reading this, I want you guys to know that you really SUCK @$$ and should close shop ASAP.

You charge $9US for shipping for a chip that weighs like less than 0.5 ounces?  And oh yeah taking 2 weeks to send 1 email reply is also very good business practice.   These guys probably do this in their "free time" so users, they are NOT worth your time.  Go with someone else like system-mods.com.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

Ordered an X2.2PRO before holidays, was delivered fine, did take a while though. It was fake, they promised a fix, they promised a replacement or refund in mid-December, which I took, no reply from any of their emails.

Bunch of thieves, the current plan is to just dispute the charges with Visa and get a chip from somewhere else.

Ok, well, I just recieved 2 e-mails from MyPaySystems telling me that I my refund was successful!!! So I now have nothing to worry about, hehe. The tracking number still works, but it hasn't been updated. It's probably going through customs right now, but whatever. I might have just gotten a mod-chip for free. Whether it works or not is a whole different story. Only time will tell. Will post again when I recieve the shipment, if I ever do.

I recommend that anyone who might still be stuck with one of the FAKE Xecuter Chips.. contact the www.xbox-modchips.com and demand a refund.

Being told that a FAKE chip is simply defective.. and you should accept that fact it is only 2/3 functional is not acceptable considering the amount of money you have spent. Same goes for any other of the 4 sellers who had sold FAKE chips to the public.

Anyone getting the runaround should consider Refund/cash clawback methods.. or VISA refunds.

Visa does not approve of sellers who rip people off. Speak with your Dollars people.

Being told to accept a defective chip is not acceptable.  Nor is being ignored for months on end in regards to these chips.

Complaints with the BBB and other consumer organizations are also a possible alternative action.

Well i would highly recommend dealing with anyone but these guys. I placed an order on Nov. 6th. for a x-bit chip. I realize there where problems with the shipment of these due to x-bit being unable to produce. I found out this infor myself however and was never notified by this company. I finally recieved an e-mail Dec 21 saying they would ship an executor 2.3 lite plus as a replacement. I replied to this e-mail accepting the replacement (they also a said I would recieve it before Christmas. Last week I had still recieved nothing. I put a request in at paysystems for a refund. It had been sitting at the 48 hours for a responce step 2 in the paysystems refund proccess for 6 days so I called mypaysystems. They said the company had responded that the product had been shipped and I should recieve it in 7 days. They were supposed to notify me of this. Of coarse I didn't recieve any notification. I believe this is a stalling tactitic on xbox-modchips part. If you want a refund phone mypaysystems as soon as the 48 hour time period is up and tell them if you have recieved any info from xbox-modchips This will negate their stalling tactic and will force them to either ship the product with a valid tracking number or paysystems will issue a refund. AVOID THE HASSLE DEAL WITH SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!!!!! grr.gif

well everyone, i must say, i am very very happy with this company.  i was scared shitless when i read this thread AFTER ordering over 300 USD worth of modchips.  but i gave them time and damn they were fast.  i odered on the 14th of January, and i got them the 20th.

i extremely happy.
i do not work for them, nor was i paid to post such things in league of all the other complaints.  but yes, my experiences with them were extrememyl good.

i live in canada and they shipped via UPS.

ALso.  I am really P/Oed with the way you people are trying to scam a company.  ONLY file for a refund if its taking a long time or your transaction is not working out.  If you JUST ordered, then file away for a refund, there's something wrong with the picture.  I say at least give them a chance.

I ordered on 1/7. UPS receive date is tommorow 1/20, so we'll see if they can deliver. Last scan was in IL (not sure if it's possible it's still in customs). You're lucky your in Canada - probably why you got it so fast without any hassle. And I agree it's messed up to expect a free modchip + refund. But when you've been screwed over like some of these people I think that's the least they can expect for wasted time and lost customers.

Well, surprisingly today, I recieved my mod chip in the mail. It was packaged in a small envelope with bubble wrap. It came with the chip, switch module, connecting wires, star washer, and pin headers. Is there supposed to be some kind of manual or intructions?

I guess I did get this for free, which is a plus for me, but I would have been glad to pay for it. If only they'd replied to my e-mails, I wouldn't have had the urge to request a refund. They sent me an e-mail telling me that my order has been shipped, yet they couldn't send MyPaystems an e-mail about my refund request? They had 48 hours to contact them, in which they didn't, so there's obviously something wrong. I mean, if you're not going to answer your customers' e-mails, wouldn't you at least respond to MyPaystems? I mean its THEIR money they're dealing with. I already paid them. Whatever. The chip works, and I'm happy, BUT! I will not risk this company again, mainly because they're in Canada. Stupid me, I didn't realize it until I ordered it. How am I going to fight a company in another country if they rip me off?

Oh, and another thing showing their carelessness. The item description on the package said "usb adaptor".

I ordered from Xbox-modchips.com,  in Nov, 03 and lets put it this way i never received anything from this site, i had to request a refund twice cause they never respond to emails and when they did they game me some crap about the 2.2 PRO CHIPS being defective. This was a month after i ordered my premodd system, so I turned around and dealt with www.CarolinaSystemMods.com, i had no problem with this site, very quick response on email even faster service. I give Xbox-mochips.com a 5 out of 10.

P.S what I paid for a 2.2 PRO with an 80HD, I bought from CSM a 2.3 Lite with an 250GB do the mathIwas over charged big time.

1/21 I just recieved my 5 Xecuter 2.3b lites, plus two free USB ports. I was freaked out a bit when I read this thread but in the end they delivered. Took two weeks ground shipping here - I can't complain.

Yeah this company is horrible.  i ordered an xbit from them and they offered a 2.2lite as a replacement. I accepted and was very excited...weeks went bye and nothing. I got my refund through mypaysystems....Never got an email or anything from xbox-modchips.  I even emailed them telling them i was going to request a refund but would give them the chance to redeem themselves.  well...I got no response.
